Emily Groves

I’m a media and  interaction designer.

Current projects include a virtual reality gin tasting experience, augmented reality food labels and running the nomadic bar Cocktail Sandwich.

For 1.5 years I was obsessed with emojis; I built, made and said a lot about them, including creating a 1:1 emoji world.

In graphic design, I’ve created christmas cards for TATE, collaborated with musican Orchid and drawn dialects.

I am currently working at the EPFL+ECAL Lab in Lausanne, Switzerland. I was previously a research associate at The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, London. I have an MA in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art and a BSc in Human Sciences from University College London. Here’s my full CV and portfolio.

I also like swimming pools, my rice cooker and crisps.
