Emily Groves

Digital designer and researcher

I explore food, culture and technology in my work whilst running the nomadic bar Cocktail Sandwich alongside.

I’ve also made a 1:1 emoji café, a wayfinding solution for Battersea Park, a meowing furry table and done various illustrations

Research projects I’ve been involved in include investigations into designing interfaces for older people and education in HCI.

I am currently working at the EPFL+ECAL Lab in Lausanne, Switzerland. I was previously a research associate at The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, London. I have an MA in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art and a BSc in Human Sciences from University College London.

I also like swimming pools, my rice cooker and crisps.
